Ski Dubai is about to host a snow fitness race inspired by Hyrox
Dubai’s fitness scene is getting a colder twist this month. Ski Dubai is set to host “Hyrox in the Snow” on June 28, bringing a sub-zero version of the popular endurance format to the emirate in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council and Athlete Fitness, an official Hyrox training partner.
According to The National, the event will take place inside Ski Dubai’s snow park, where temperatures are kept at around minus 4°C. The race is open to men and women aged 18 to 60, and participants will compete in teams of twothrough a snow-based sequence of functional fitness stations designed to test strength, stamina, and teamwork.
The format takes clear inspiration from Hyrox, but with a much more unusual setting. Instead of a flat indoor course, competitors will move through snow running, SkiErg, rowing, and strength-based exercises such as lunges, wall balls, farmer’s carries, burpees, and air squats — all while working in freezing conditions.
