Karen Wazen teams up with Saie for limited-edition beauty and eyewear collaboration

Dubai-based entrepreneur and influencer Karen Wazen has joined forces with clean beauty founder Laney Crowell for a new limited-edition collaboration bringing together Karen Wazen Collection and Saie.

The partnership connects two brands from different sides of the lifestyle industry: Wazen’s Dubai-based accessories label, best known for its contemporary eyewear, and Saie, the New York clean makeup brand founded by Crowell in 2019.

At the centre of the collaboration is an exclusive pair of cat-eye sunglasses, crafted from black acetate and finished with subtle gold co-branding. The frame also offers 100 per cent UV protection, combining the recognizable aesthetic of Karen Wazen Collection with the beauty-focused identity of Saie.

The sunglasses are accompanied by a selection of Saie products personally curated by Wazen, including the brand’s Glossy Bounce Hydrating Lip Oil and Lip Liner 101. The collection is presented inside Karen Wazen’s signature pillow pouch, redesigned for the collaboration with co-branded details and dedicated compartments for beauty essentials.

For Wazen, the partnership is based on a natural connection between the audiences and identities of the two brands. Both focus on an effortless approach to style and beauty, where products are designed to complement individual personality rather than dominate it.

The collaboration also represents another step in the international growth of Karen Wazen Collection. What began as an eyewear-focused business has developed into a broader accessories and lifestyle label, while Wazen herself has become one of the region’s most visible fashion entrepreneurs. Saie, meanwhile, has built a strong following in the clean beauty sector through its focus on performance, ingredients and sustainability.

The launch arrives as collaborations between Middle Eastern fashion personalities and international brands continue to gain momentum. This summer, part-Saudi model Shanina Shaik partnered with Canadian activewear label 437 on a capsule collection featuring sportswear and everyday pieces, while Romanian-Jordanian designer Amina Muaddi has previously collaborated with Wolford on a 17-piece collection.

For Dubai’s fashion and beauty scene, the Karen Wazen x Saie partnership reflects the increasingly international reach of entrepreneurs based in the city. As Dubai continues to develop as a regional centre for fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands, collaborations like this are helping connect locally established names with global audiences.
