Dubai South and Sony partner to support UAE startups
Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone has partnered with Sony Middle East and Africa to give entrepreneurs, startups and small businesses access to new technology, professional expertise and practical educational programmes.
The collaboration is designed to expand the support available to companies operating within the free zone. Alongside business licensing, visa services and post-licence assistance, founders will now be able to access Sony tools and training focused on building stronger brands and growing their operations.
Workshops for modern entrepreneurs
Businesses based at Dubai South Business Hub will receive exclusive Sony offers and access to a series of workshops and masterclasses.
The sessions will cover areas including content creation, digital marketing, brand development and business growth. Sony specialists will lead the programmes at the free zone, giving founders practical guidance that can be applied directly to their companies.
The agreement was signed at Dubai South Headquarters by Saif Al-Ali, Director of Licensing and Free Zone Management, and Jobin Joejoe, Managing Director of Sony Middle East and Africa. Гульф Бизнес
Sony becomes a technology partner
Under the partnership, Sony will serve as a technology partner for the Dubai South business community.
Participating companies will gain preferential access to professional imaging and audio equipment, alongside expert advice on how to use the technology effectively. The initiative is intended to help businesses improve the quality of their content, develop clearer brand identities and communicate more effectively with customers.
For early-stage companies, strong visual communication has become increasingly important. High-quality video, photography and audio can support customer acquisition, investor presentations, social media marketing and wider brand recognition.
By combining equipment with practical training, the partnership aims to ensure that founders receive more than access to technology alone.
Support beyond company formation
Dubai South Business Hub already provides services including licensing, visas, banking partnerships and ongoing business support.
The Sony partnership expands that ecosystem by introducing more hands-on learning opportunities and technology-driven resources. The objective is to support companies not only when they establish a business, but throughout their longer-term development.
Both organisations also plan to work together on future community events and educational initiatives. These programmes are expected to give entrepreneurs more opportunities to develop new skills, connect with other founders and strengthen their professional networks.
Strengthening Dubai’s startup ecosystem
Dubai South is strategically connected to Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, Etihad Rail and major road networks, making it an important location for companies seeking access to regional and international markets.
The new partnership reflects Dubai’s wider effort to build a founder-focused business environment where startups can access infrastructure, expertise and commercial support in one place.
Further details about Sony’s benefits, upcoming workshops and registration opportunities are expected to be shared with the Dubai South Business Hub community in the coming weeks.
