Farheen Saleem builds Dubai real estate business on trust and family values
For Farheen Saleem, founder and managing director of Home4Ever Real Estate, success in Dubai has never been defined by transaction volumes alone.
Her approach to business is built around something less measurable but, in her view, far more important: trust.
After more than three decades in the UAE, Saleem has transformed an interest in property investment into a real estate company handling transactions worth more than Dh100 million, while maintaining a strong focus on relationships, family and long-term reputation.
From Pakistan to Dubai
Saleem was born and raised in Pakistan before moving to the UAE in 1994 to join her husband and build a family in Dubai.
Education played an important role in her early life.
Before entering business, she worked as a teacher at the Aga Khan School in Karachi, an experience she says shaped many of the qualities she later brought into real estate.
Patience, listening and understanding people became skills that proved just as valuable in business as they had been in the classroom.
After moving to Dubai, her priorities initially centred on building a stable future for her family.
Today, she is a mother of six and continues to describe her close family relationships as one of the most important parts of her life.
Watching Dubai transform
Saleem arrived in a very different Dubai from the city that exists today.
Over the following three decades, she watched new neighbourhoods, infrastructure and major developments reshape the emirate.
That transformation gradually sparked her interest in property.
As she gained experience investing in the market, friends and relatives increasingly approached her for advice on buying real estate.
What began as informal guidance eventually developed into deeper market knowledge and, ultimately, a business opportunity.
For Saleem, Dubai’s evolution has also been a personal journey.
She believes the city creates opportunities for people who are prepared to work consistently, remain honest and continue learning.
Home4Ever began as a family business
Saleem launched Home4Ever Real Estate in 2021.
Initially, the company was created primarily to manage family property assets as well as investments belonging to friends.
It gradually evolved into a full-service real estate business.
Today, Home4Ever operates across both Dubai’s off-plan and secondary property markets, working with major developers including Emaar, Binghatti and Dubai Properties.
But Saleem says the company was never designed around chasing the highest possible number of transactions.
Instead, she wanted clients to feel they were receiving genuine advice — even when the right recommendation was not to buy immediately.
More than Dh100 million in transactions
Through Saleem’s experience and network, Home4Ever has facilitated property transactions worth more than Dh100 million.
Yet she considers the company’s reputation more significant than the financial figure itself.
Real estate transactions often involve a family’s savings, future plans or long-term security.
That means, in her view, agents have a responsibility that extends beyond completing a sale.
This philosophy has helped Home4Ever build much of its business around repeat clients and referrals rather than one-off deals.
Building a team around shared values
As the company expanded, Saleem placed particular emphasis on who joined the business.
Professional experience was important, but she also looked for people who shared the company’s principles of honesty, integrity, respect and client service.
She describes Home4Ever less as a large corporate structure and more as a close-knit team.
The idea is that a culture of trust inside the company ultimately translates into stronger relationships with clients.
Saleem’s son, Abdul Rehman Murad, now serves as chief executive, bringing what she describes as a more modern perspective while maintaining the principles on which the company was built.
Why Dubai helped the business grow
Saleem attributes Home4Ever’s growth to several factors.
The first is Dubai itself.
She believes the city’s leadership, international environment and rapid development have created strong opportunities for businesses operating in property.
Her own three decades of experience in the UAE have also provided a long-term perspective on how Dubai’s market and neighbourhoods have evolved.
Relationships are another important factor.
Rather than viewing each client as a single transaction, Home4Ever focuses on maintaining relationships over time.
That strategy has created a strong referral network and contributed to the company’s gradual expansion.
Growth without losing personal service
Despite the scale of Dubai’s real estate market, Saleem does not want Home4Ever to grow simply for the sake of becoming larger.
Her goal is sustainable expansion while preserving the individual attention clients currently receive.
She describes her leadership style as based on trust, guidance and responsibility.
Instead of closely controlling every decision, she prefers employees to develop their own skills and take ownership of their work.
The challenge, as the company grows, is ensuring that the culture does not disappear with scale.
Supporting women in business
Saleem is also an advocate for female leadership and greater economic independence for women.
Her own career developed after marriage and motherhood, and she believes women should not feel forced to choose between family life and professional ambition.
Her message is centred around self-confidence, continuous learning and gaining experience.
For Saleem, leadership is not defined by entering business at a particular age or following a traditional career path.
Her own journey from teaching to family life and eventually entrepreneurship illustrates how professional careers can evolve over time.
A Dubai legacy built on reputation
Farheen Saleem’s story reflects a wider side of Dubai’s real estate boom that is not always measured in new towers or record-breaking sales.
After arriving in the UAE in 1994, she watched the city transform, built a family, developed her knowledge of property and eventually turned that experience into a business.
Home4Ever may now have facilitated more than Dh100 million in transactions, but Saleem continues to judge success differently.
For her, the lasting measure of a real estate business is whether clients trust the people behind it — and whether that trust remains long after the deal is complete.
