Abu Dhabi’s Mother of the Nation Festival opens today
Families and entertainment enthusiasts will flock to Abu Dhabi’s Corniche from today as the popular Mother of the Nation Festival (MOTN) returns to the UAE capital.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi), the festival, which runs from 9 to 18 December, features unforgettable entertainment such as performances by renowned international and regional artists, a symphony of flavours from around the world offered by renowned food vendors, unique events for all ages, a special shopping area featuring luxury brands and much more.
The extravaganza offers residents and tourists access to a variety of exceptional activities in six areas, as well as numerous photo opportunities. To ensure the safety of visitors, vendors and organisers, MOTN Festival will also adhere to Go Safe Certification, a groundbreaking programme launched by DCT Abu Dhabi to implement global hygiene standards in hotels, events, attractions and venues across the emirate.

Get ready for plenty of family fun by visiting some of the best amusement parks in the world, with a range of exciting games, rides, thrilling workshops and more for all ages.
The Food Centre will feature menus from global and local F&B suppliers, offering gastronomic delights to suit all tastes. There will also be an art installation by Daniel Popper, and top local musicians and DJs will perform on stage.
The shopping district offers a wealth of shopping opportunities, including a special section for high-end luxury brands, including second-hand items from Balmain, Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and others.
For all visitors looking for a dose of action, there is the Thrill Zone, where adrenaline-fuelled adventures can be experienced.
The festival’s main stage in the Music Arena will bring the event to life with exciting performances by famous international stars as well as a good selection of regional artists.
