DEWA warns of safety precautions during the rainy season
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has urged customers to take the necessary measures during the rainy season to avoid internal disruptions and ensure safe and uninterrupted power supply. The information appeared on the Dubai Government website. DEWA urged its customers to visit its website and official social media pages for further advice and guidance.
DEWA emphasised the importance of using a competent technician to carry out regular maintenance, checking exposed connections, electrical cabinets and meters, as well as protecting them with waterproof sockets and fixtures to avoid disruption to DEWA services. In the event of internal problems, customers can use the services of technicians in the DEWA shop. DEWA urges customers to close all electrical cabinets, replace all damaged meter glasses, seal all spare cable ducts on roofs and check all connections for correct earthing to ensure a safe and stable electrical supply.
You can also use the DEWA emergency number 991 to get urgent technical notices. Guidelines and tips on how to ensure a stable and reliable power supply are available at https://www.dewa.gov.ae/rain.
DEWA has proactive plans to ensure that all its services meet the highest standards of availability, reliability and efficiency.
