The best of Swan Lake to be performed in Dubai

In August, Dubai will host a tour by the Worldstars Ballet troupe that will showcase the best fragments of Tchaikovsky’s legendary Swan Lake on the Mall of the Emirates theatre stage.

The performance will feature dancers from leading European companies such as the Paris Opera, Bordeaux Ballet and La Scala. The show will combine the iconic legend of Swan Lake with sophisticated choreography and the magnificent symphonies of the great composer Tchaikovsky.

The Worldstars troupe has toured to Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, Norway and Denmark, giving audiences the chance to enjoy inspiring productions and a classical legacy. Three performances are scheduled in Dubai on 27 August, at 3pm, 6pm and 9pm. Ticket prices start from AED 250 and can be bought here.

Swan Lake is the love story of Prince Siegfried, who on a hunting trip encounters a flock of swans, falls in love with the Swan Queen, Odette, and swears his allegiance and undying love to her. As a result of a curse by an evil sorcerer, Odette can take human form just between midnight and daybreak. Only faithful, true love can break the spell.
