Children of the World Exhibition puts the spotlight on young talents in the UAE
Supporting young artists to understand the power of creativity and giving them a prime stage to showcase their talent, ‘Children of World’, an exclusive non-profit Art Competition and Exhibition was held in Dubai’s Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA) on 26 October.
Organized by ‘ArchiHub’ under the patronage of SEE Holding, the exhibition brought together young talents from diverse backgrounds and nationalities, celebrating their creativity in visual arts and supporting them in building a strong foundation, making way for a brighter future.
The exhibition showcased 150 artworks from 30 countries, including paintings and drawings, presenting fresh perspectives to the audience and promoting individuality and creativity among young artists.
Centered on the official theme “Symbol of your Country”, the art competition encouraged young artists to create their pieces of art in any drawing technique, allowing them to tell the stories of their national history, culture, traditions, and symbols.
The artworks were displayed at the Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA), at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, bringing them to life through a first-of-its-kind Digital Art Installation, allowing the young artists and audiences to convene around shared artistic processes and experimentation.
The diverse exhibition introduced audiences to unique artworks by ‘Children of Determination’. Shining light on empathy and humanity, as well as representing the voice of diversity and inclusion, the artworks were a true testament to their unique skills and abilities.
Designed to help children focus on their creative expressions, skills, or attributes they are proud of, the art competition had four age groups: 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, and 14-17. All participants in the Children of the World exhibition received certificates, and prizes were awarded to the winners of each age category.
A specialized jury chaired by renowned Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej selected the winners and the entries to the exhibition. Art Historian Natalya Andakulova, Artist Laila Masri, and Artist and Art teacher Vasilisa Eliseeva were the other members of the panel.
Along with the art exhibition and digital installation, the participants and guests of the event enjoyed stunning dance performances by Unique Studio Dance and the Middle East premiere of the musical cartoon “Squared Zebra” along with a dance show, choir, and other performances. Earlier, Squared Zebra produced by the world-famous SMF Animation Studio was selected as the mascot of the exhibition, promoting the principles of tolerance and inclusivity.
