J1 Beach to open in Dubai
On the site of the demolished La Mer Dubai beach area there will be new beach clubs and premium restaurants. The coastal area will be landscaped and named J1 Beach.
Work will be carried out by Merex Investment, and the new beach is scheduled to open by the end of 2023. Restaurant brands such as Gigi Rigolatto, Bâoli and Sirene Beach by Gaia will be present in the quarter – 10 restaurants in total.
J1 Beach will be the developer’s flagship signature beach destination, the first of its kind in the Gulf region. The licensed restaurants will have panoramic sea views and guests will be transported by golf carts.
The famous Gigi Rigolatto restaurant, one of the best in the world in its category, will offer Italian cuisine and circus shows. At the moment the chain already has establishments in Saint-Tropez, Paris and Val d’Isère.
For its part, Sirene Beach by Gaia will represent an evolution of the Greek-Mediterranean concept of the famous Gaia restaurant in Dubai.
The Bâoli restaurant will offer contemporary Japanese cuisine. It already has branches in Miami and Cannes and tends to attract celebrities.
At the moment the southern stretch of La Mer beach is closed and fenced off for construction work. Meanwhile, establishments on the northern stretch of beach, such as Salt, Keventers, Falla, Aprons and Hammers, Rove Hotel and others, continue to welcome guests.
Shops and cafes in the La Mer Central section, next to the Laguna water park, will also continue to operate. It is worth recalling that Merex Investment manages projects such as La Mer, City Walk and The Beach JBR.
