Burj Khalifa tops the list of the world’s best places
Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, has topped yet another ranking. Comparethemarket.com named the tower the world’s most popular landmark. The leader was revealed by counting hashtags on Instagram and search queries on Google.
Burj Khalifa was the most popular among 72 landmarks worldwide, with 6,179,975 images tagged #burjkhalifa found on Instagram and 2,240,000 monthly queries on the search engine. In terms of popularity, the Dubai skyscraper has surpassed Times Square in New York and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, as well as India’s Taj Mahal and Niagara Falls.
It is worth noting that the Burj Khalifa alone generates about US$ 621 million from ticket sales annually, with an entrance fee of US$ 37.
There are two viewing platforms in the skyscraper: a two-level platform At the Top on the 124th and 125th floors and At The Top Sky on the 148th floor at a height of 555 meters. Visitors to the At.Mosphere restaurant at the Burj Khalifa also have incredible views of the city.
Last year, tourists were invited to view the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in the Metaverse and enjoy the views from the spire of the world’s tallest building in virtual format. In this way, foreigners will be able to experience Dubai’s main attraction from the comfort of their own homes.
Users can walk around the building with family or friends using digital avatars, as well as climb to the observation deck and get a bird’s eye view of the city. The project was sponsored by the Eventcombo platform.
