2nd Annual Dubai Equestrian Procurement Forum to be held at the Meydan Grandstand from 5-6 March

Dubai Racing Club and Dubai Equestrian Club, the two largest equestrian organisations in the Middle East, have announced that the 2nd Dubai Equestrian Procurement Forum will be held from 5-6 March 2022 at Meydan Grandstand.

The two-day exhibition and conference with the theme “Gulf Equestrian Procurement Forum” will host over 500 international and regional suppliers, buyers, producers, horse owners, breeders, industry professionals and technology partners, as well as experts and representatives of racecourse clubs from the Middle East and beyond.

The focus of the forum will be on opportunities from future projects in the $400 million sector. With over 250 stables, 350 buyers and 75 suppliers taking part, the event will feature a series of panel discussions and presentations on the challenges and opportunities in the industry. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win over 250 gifts and prizes.

Sheikh Rashid Bin Dalmook, chairman of the Dubai Racing Club, stressed the importance of the event as a platform for various stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, buyers, importers, industry experts and racing clubs, to explore the vast opportunities for industry growth. He said the two-day event would also allow experts to help identify the challenges that stand in the way of the multi-billion dollar industry.

Dubai Racing Club recently announced an expanded racing calendar for the 2021/22 season, which will now include a four-race ‘Jumeirah Series’ on turf, launched for the Classic generation, in addition to an exciting new race for Super Saturday. The addition of the new races increases the total prize money for the racing season to more than $40 million.

International and regional exhibitors will showcase their latest technologies and innovations for the equestrian industry, including feed and nutritional products, flooring and bedding, veterinary products and services, clothing, stable technology and much more.

Dubai Racing Club organises races at Meydan Racecourse from November to April each year, including the Dubai World Cup (DWC). The DWC is a glittering night of racing. The DWC has a total prize pool of $30.5 million for nine races, including a $12 million prize pool for Group 1 of the Dubai World Cup.

Meydan Racecourse plays an important role on the international horse racing map and Dubai Equestrian Club oversees 15 stables dedicated to training horses.

Dubai Equestrian Club was established in 2002 to organize the local and international level endurance, showjumping and dressage events at Dubai International Endurance City and Emirates Equestrian Centre. Dubai Equestrian Club oversees 32 stables specializing in endurance, including M7 Stables, F3 Stables and MRM stables.
