Emirates signs a new agreement with Amadeus

Emirates has signed a new agreement with Amadeus, extending their partnership to offer the travel community more flexibility, choice and future opportunities.

From 1 February 2022, all Amadeus trading partners will be able to access Emirates content free of charge. As part of the new agreement, Emirates NDC (new distribution capability) content will be integrated into the Amadeus Travel Platform and NDC content will become available to travel merchants during 2022.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates chief commercial officer, said: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Amadeus. This is another step forward in our goal to empower our channel partners to deliver an even better customer experience. In today’s environment, especially as the industry recovers from the pandemic, everyone in the travel services chain will benefit from flexible engagement models, multiple ways to access dynamic rich content and the ability to offer differentiated products and services.”

Decius Valmorbida, president of Amadeus’ travel division, said: “This renewal of the agreement is another important milestone in our distribution strategy and in our ongoing retail development journey. With this new agreement with Emirates, we are beginning 2022, building on the momentum we have built up over the years in support of modern retailing and further demonstrating our commitment to continuing to offer more travel content globally through the Amadeus Travel platform.”

Targeting a dynamic market, Emirates is committed to providing its retail partners with a choice of connectivity options and differentiated products and benefits across all channels, including through Emirates Gateway’s own NDC-enabled direct connectivity platform.
