JGT Dubai – Jewellery, Gem & Technology Dubai opened by Mona Al Marri

Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and General Manager of the Dubai Government Media Office, officially opened the inaugural Jewellery, Gem & Technology Dubai (JGT Dubai) exhibition, the first B2B face-to-face industry event at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) this year.  After the inauguration, Al Murray toured the exhibition with other dignitaries.

JGT Dubai, the region’s only B2B event for the jewelry industry, is co-hosted by Informa Markets Jewellery and Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) from February 22-24. A total of 320 companies from 23 countries are taking part in the exhibition.

Her Excellency Mona Al Marri said that Dubai’s hosting of the inaugural edition of JGT Dubai is yet another testimony to the city’s ability to provide an exceptional platform for the global community to come together to share knowledge and experiences. She said the event also demonstrates Dubai’s commitment to stimulate the development and growth of vital industries and increase market and trade activity.

The three-day exhibition brings together suppliers from Belgium, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Israel, Turkey, UAE and other key sourcing destinations under one roof. The B2B show also features separate expositions dedicated to key product categories, and each section offers buyers opportunities to meet and interact, as well as a chance to start sourcing for 2022.

JGT Dubai has received extensive industry support, including official partner, the Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC), industry partner, the Dubai Gold and Jewelry Group (DGJG), and trade associations covering virtually every aspect of the sector.

Positioned as the first international in-person sourcing opportunity in 2022, the fair has attracted strong interest from key buyer groups, with retailers, wholesalers and brands from the Middle East, Eastern Europe and South America signing up for JGT Dubai’s Hosted Buyer program.

In addition, the show will be complemented by two world-class events, namely the highly anticipated Dubai Diamond Conference, organized by DMCC, and the Jewellery World Awards (JWA) ceremony from Informa Markets Jewellery. Both events will take place on February 21.

The first edition of JGT Dubai will allow buyers to experience a well-chosen range of new products, including finished jewelry, loose diamonds and colored gemstones, jewelry parts and components, as well as technological solutions and equipment.

Among the finished jewelry on display are trendy gold and diamond jewelry sets from Unison Manufacturing HK Ltd, voluminous yet lightweight designer collections from Unoaerre, timeless creations from KGK Jewellery HK Ltd, set with diamonds of the highest quality and cut.

Buyers will also be offered a wide range of loose diamonds of almost any shape, size and quality, including rare and majestic fancy colored stones. Exhibitors include Dayagi Avraham Diamonds Ltd, G Arabov Diamonds Ltd, KP Sanghvi Middle East DMCC and Taché Co NV, among others.

As for colored gemstones, Emerald 18 Ltd is expected to display an assortment of emeralds from Africa, including single stones and stones of all shapes, sizes and price categories.

Jewelry components are expected to attract the attention of jewelry manufacturers, designers and retailers. Notable exhibitors include leading Italian manufacturers of semi-finished and finished chains such as Alessi Domenico and Fior, among many others.

Buyers looking for the latest technology and applications will also find sourcing opportunities at the show. Companies such as Legor, Premet Technologies Fze and Picup Media are represented in the technology zone.
