Dubai Food Festival launches today as one of the most vibrant culinary destinations
Celebrating Dubai’s status as the culinary capital of the world, Dubai Food Festival will showcase the city’s most exciting gastronomic offerings in a 14-day urban food festival that will run from 2-15 May 2022.
Dubai’s 12,000 restaurants and cafes entice the most passionate food lovers with tempting dishes from around the world – from world-renowned chefs and global restaurant brands to street food and homestyle restaurants inspired by the more than 200 nationalities living in Dubai.
Here’s what’s in store for diners in the city during Dubai Food Festival 2022:
Dubai Restaurant Week (6 – 15 May)
In partnership with 40 of the city’s top restaurants, Dubai Restaurant Week resumes on 6 May with specially designed two-course lunch menus starting from AED 95 or three-course dinner menus starting from AED 150 per person. Visitors can enjoy irresistible dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients, all at an attractive price that can save up to 50 per cent when they visit the restaurant.
Reservations for DRW are now open and places are limited, so reservations are required in advance.
Foodie Experiences (2 – 15 May)
Foodie Experiences, which will run throughout the festival, will feature tables from Dubai’s most anticipated and renowned chefs, master classes, culinary collaborations, as well as unconventional experimental food concepts that are exclusive to DFF.
For all Foodie Experiences events, advance reservations are required by contacting the restaurant of your choice directly.
My Hidden Gems competition (2 – 15 May)
Dubai is dotted with many hidden culinary gems, and the city’s budget food has always been a focus for DFF. Restaurateurs across the city are invited to become advocates of their favourite restaurants by entering the ‘My Hidden Gems’ competition.
By visiting three different restaurants with a maximum budget of AED 100, making a short video of different dishes and publishing it tagged @dubaieats, the best entries that match the theme of their destination (e.g. type of cuisine, location, etc.) will have a chance to win cash prizes with a total budget of AED 100,000.
