“One Family” – DFWAC’s new annual campaign

The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has launched its first annual “One Family” Campaign for 2022, timed to coincide with International Family Day on 15 May each year.

The campaign, which will run for seven days from 19 May to 26 May 2022, aims to raise public awareness of the importance of building strong bonds with family members, how healthy relationships with family members contribute to mental health and wellbeing, and to provide tools and techniques to better understand family members.

Speaking on the occasion, Shaikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director General, DFWAC, said: “In line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to build a cohesive society, preserve its national identity, and to raise public awareness of the importance of family stability to achieve happiness among people, the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children launched its first awareness campaign called One Family.”

She added that the vision of the foundation was inspired by the wise words of His Highness Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum when he said that the UAE government was primarily focused on strengthening social bonds and the family structure, and emphasised the concepts of unity and cohesion in society.

“We at DFWAC are committed to adopting international best practices aimed at providing all means of support to the community, as well as regularly launching initiatives and awareness campaigns to help build stronger families, which aims to strengthen the UAE’s status in human development indicators, stressing the importance of bringing all stakeholders together for the sake of infrastructure development and service levels.”

She also noted that the Foundation will publish several infographics that will provide advice and guidance to all members of the community on the meaning of ‘love languages’ and provide positive ways to express love between family members, which will be published on DFWAC social media accounts under the hashtag #OneFamily in Arabic and English.
