Eid al-Adha to be spent at the Museum of the Future

As the four-day public holiday Eid al-Adha begins on 8 July, now is the perfect opportunity to experience Dubai’s newest ‘wow factor’.

The Museum of the Future is located in the heart of Dubai’s Future District and offers entertainment, education and a glimpse into the future for you and your whole family.

Here’s a list of five things you can do at the Museum of the Future during Eid al-Adha.

1. Take a trip to space

What better way to relax on Eid than with a trip to a space station?

Take the Falcon space capsule to the Orbiting Space Station (OSS) Hope on an odyssey of exploration. Experience humanity living in space and become part of our community. Aboard OSS Hope, you can learn more about what life might be like on the vast space station in the year 2071.

The journey doesn’t end there!

Continue the journey by returning to Earth, where you can escape to the rainforest in the heart of Dubai.

2. Reconnect with yourself

Eid is an opportunity to pause and reflect on yourself. Al Waha Museum is an opportunity to explore yourself and immerse yourself in a world that simulates all your senses. You can embark on a journey centered around health and well-being.

Al Waha introduces a new world of therapies. You can explore feeling therapy, connection therapy and grounding therapy to refresh and restore your natural balance from within.

If you want to take a piece of this experience with you, you can even create your own perfume based on your unique personality.

A fragrance from the future that you’ll never forget.

3. Create memories in the future

Described as the most beautiful building on earth, it’s no wonder the Museum of the Future is a favourite for selfies.

On the museum’s observation deck you can get a closer look at Dubai’s most impressive architectural marvel.

Another place you’re sure to remember is the Library, an impressive DNA library with around 2,400 items on display from floor to ceiling.

While at the museum, don’t forget to treat yourself to a coffee from the future, served by our robotic barista.

In addition to making memories, you can take them away with you.

You can buy souvenirs from the museum’s retail shop that will take you back to inspiring and exciting experiences anytime!

4. Get in touch with tomorrow’s technology

Don’t miss the ‘Tomorrow Today’ exhibition. Take a closer look at the products and prototypes that will shape the future in the fields of waste management, ecology, food security, agriculture and urban planning. All of this can be seen against the backdrop of the museum’s impressive interior, where flying robots soar and glide overhead.

5. Educational fun for the whole family

The Future Heroes area of the museum is the perfect place to educate the kids.

Designed for children up to 10 years old, Future Heroes encourages young minds to make new discoveries about themselves and the world around them. The floor features a range of educational and fun activities focusing on several skills needed for the future, including curiosity, creativity, confidence, communication and collaboration.

The activities encourage children to think critically while allowing them to develop their imagination.

Future Heroes offers a combination of open-ended play and purposeful challenges that require problem-solving and collaboration. It borrows the best aspects of video games and applies them to a physical environment.
