Arab Media Forum to be held on 4-5 October 2022
The Dubai Press Club today announced that the landmark 20th edition of the Arab Media Forum will take place on 4-5 October 2022 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The forum will bring together prominent political figures, writers, thought leaders and opinion makers, high profile media personalities, as well as heads of leading Arab and international media organisations.
This year’s 20th edition of the Arab Media Forum will have an extensive agenda to explore and address the challenges faced by different types of media throughout the industry. The largest gathering of Arab media stakeholders will attempt to answer critical questions about the future of media in the Arab world, given current and potential global challenges.
Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, vice president and managing director of the Dubai Media Council, president of DPC and chairperson of the AMF organising committee, said that as the largest annual gathering of media leaders and content creators in the region, Arab Media Forum takes great responsibility for mobilising fresh ideas and creating a vision to move Arab media to greater heights.
This year’s discussions will look at a range of issues to accurately analyse the media landscape, identify challenges and propose effective solutions. The agenda will also include identifying and seizing new opportunities to further the growth and development of the sector.
The forum seeks to develop a roadmap for transforming the Arab media landscape with high-profile and distinguished speakers.
Dr Maitha Buhumaid, Director of DPC, added that the forum organising team has been working for months to prepare a comprehensive agenda that reflects DPC’s mission as an effective engine of excellence and catalyst for the development of the regional media industry.
Launched by the DPC over 20 years ago, the Arab Media Forum is one of the major events in the DPC’s annual calendar of events.
