Sleep ‘n Fly lounge to open at Dubai Airport

Sleep ‘n Fly, Dubai International Airport’s largest sleeper lounge, is set to open in Terminal 3. Passengers will enjoy a quick sleep area, airplane-shaped sleeping pods, showers and unlimited refreshments.

The Sleep ‘n Fly lounge will accommodate passengers of all classes and can accommodate 46 travellers at a time, who can book cabins with bunk beds, Flexisuite capsules with reclining beds as well as business capsules with folding tables and charging stations for phones and laptops.

The Flexisuite capsules, for example, will cost US$110 for a six-hour stay – they are designed in the form of first-class aircraft seats that fold out into beds. Pillows and blankets are available at an additional cost. The pods are soundproof and lock from the inside.

For a full night’s sleep, Yawn’s bunk, twin or family cabins have beds, including children’s beds, cotton linen, earplugs and a wake-up service for passengers. Accommodation rates start from US$ 173. Business cabins with high-speed internet can be booked for two hours, for US$43. Shower cabins are available for an additional fee.

Earlier, Dubai Airports announced the launch of new online channels where passengers will be able to receive 24/7 support in two languages – English and Arabic. Information will be provided not only by phone, email and social media, but also via messenger WhatsApp.

The contact centre, which began testing earlier this year, will provide passengers with the most up-to-date and accurate information on flights and travel requirements. In particular, passengers will be able to receive flight status information automatically, without having to engage in a conversation with an agent.

The new service will put customers in touch with key airport partners, including Emirates Airlines, dnata, the Directorate General of Residents and Foreigners, Dubai Customs and the Roads and Transport Authority.
