Hatta Wadi Hub returns from summer break

Hatta Wadi Hub, the glamping and entertainment hub in the Hajar Mountains, is starting to welcome guests again after a summer break from September 15, 2022. Located in Hatta, the hub caters to nature lovers and those looking for a new perspective on the Emirates.

Archery, paragliding, go-karting, paragliding and rock-climbing await the guests of Hatta Wadi Hub. Rental facilities for mountain biking and hiking are also available. A new ropes park for children and adults is coming this season.

Hatta is the perfect place for adventure: conquering the unyielding mountains on bikes and water rides on the lakes. The rugged mountain peaks and fresh air are all that draws the outdoor enthusiast to Hatta. In the Hatta Mountains, the red-grey stone blocks and turquoise lakes create an ethereal landscape. In the past, Hatta was known only for its old fort and the small farms of the surrounding countryside.

Hatta is located 130 kilometres southeast of Dubai. It will take around an hour and a half to reach it by car. The best route from Dubai is via the E102 (Sharjah-Kalba Road) and the E611 (Emirates Road). Another ancient settlement in the Hajar Mountains has recently been discovered. It cannot be reached by car but only by mountain bike or on foot.

Last summer His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved six new tourism development projects in the Hatta hill town.

The projects include building a funicular railway, a viewing platform at 1,300m above sea level, a world-class hotel and a sustainable waterfall system as well as hiking trails to Jebel Umm Al Nisoor, the highest peak in Khatta.

Residents of Hatta will also be able to build 200 holiday homes, which will significantly boost domestic tourism. The ruler of Dubai noted that Hatta will become a model for the development of small towns in the region. In a short space of time, the mountain village has become one of the emirate’s main tourist attractions and the new projects will have an impact on the development of the tourism industry on a national scale.
