Dubai to host FIFA football fan festival

Dubai has been selected as one of six cities around the world to host sports fan festivals ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, which starts on 20 November. As well as Dubai, the festivals will be hosted by London, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Seoul. In Dubai, the venue for the festivals will be the new Dubai Harbour.

All international events of the FIFA Supporters’ Festival will include live broadcasts of World Cup matches, according to a statement from the Fédération Internationale de Football Association. The programme will include performances by popular international DJs, local musicians and artists, as well as FIFA Legends performances.

Selected events will be accompanied by 4D sound – it will transport the audience into the stadium atmosphere. The BUDX FIFA Fan Festival will last for 22 days. Fans will be able to buy tickets online. A link to the official ticketing platform will be posted on FIFA+ shortly.

The fan festival is waiting for visitors from November 20 to 28 (from 12:00 to 03:00) and from November 29 to December 18 (from 15:00 to 03:00).

The authorities of the United Arab Emirates will issue multi-entry visas for visitors to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Despite the fact that the Mundial will only last a month, the visas will be valid for 90 days.

Hayya card holders will be able to apply for the visas. The cost will be AED 100. It can be extended for a further 90 days upon payment of the standard visa fee. Hayya card holders can apply for visas and enter the UAE as early as November 1, through the ICP’s online portal.

Fans from Europe and Latin America, including Spain, Brazil, Argentina and Germany, are showing the greatest interest in the Mundial as they look to keep their teams in the championship until the final.
