Participants in the Mountain Bike Race will compete in four categories, namely: government department directors category at 9km / community category at 18km / amateur category at 37km / professional category at 56km. The Cycling Challenge, organised as part of the ‘Dubai Fitness Challenge’ events on Sheikh Zayed Road, is one of the outstanding and important cycling competitions held annually with tens of thousands of participants. The latest edition of the Dubai Cycling Challenge saw 33,000 participants of varying ages and fitness levels enjoy an unforgettable social sporting experience, confirming the commitment to achieving the 30×30 goal to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.

One of the most significant factors encouraging all sectors of society (including residents and visitors) of all ages and nationalities in Dubai to engage in cycling throughout the emirate is the availability of good infrastructure, including safe cycle paths which are designed according to the most advanced global standards.
