His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC), visited the sixth Dubai Active Industry Exhibition. The exhibition is held in conjunction with Dubai Muscle Show, the region’s leading fitness and bodybuilding exhibition, and Dubai Active, the Middle East’s leading fitness and wellness event. The events, held in collaboration with DSC, will take place from 28-30 October at Zabeel Halls in Dubai World Trade Centre in an exhibition space of more than 26,000 square metres.

His Highness commended the Dubai Sports Council for its efforts in supporting events that raise the profile of Dubai as a business and active centre for sports, wellness and fitness. His Highness said the industry event offers a dedicated platform for networking and business development. He added that such events meet the growing demand from the fitness, wellness and sports community, increasing the contribution of the fitness and wellness sector to the economy and expanding job opportunities.

The current Dubai Active Industry Expo is the largest in the event’s history and one of the largest in the world. It features over 300 brands showcasing the latest innovations and leading fitness/wellness products. With 3,000 exhibitors from 30 countries, more than 30,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day event.

His Highness toured the exhibition and visited the pavilions of several international companies showcasing their latest innovations and leading fitness/wellness products in sportswear and training, bodybuilding, nutrition and fitness equipment.

Nick Blair and Craig Hartley, directors of HBG Events, the event organisers, spoke to His Highness and his accompanying delegation about the sixth edition of the region’s leading fitness and wellness exhibition. The event is a dedicated platform for fitness professionals, facilitating business development, networking, education and training opportunities.

The HBG directors also provided an overview of related events including Dubai Muscle Show, which will feature some of the world’s most spectacular sporting events such as strongman, callisthenics, boxing, mixed martial arts, kick-boxing, bodybuilding, weightlifting and others. More than 600 amateur bodybuilders will take part in the show, with the brightest local, regional and international talents coming from countries such as Chile, the US, South Africa and Australia.

Dubai Active will host hundreds of participants throughout the weekend, which will include fitness and yoga classes, health and nutrition talks, meetings with celebrity trainers and demonstrations of the most innovative and exciting wellness brands.
