Beautyworld Middle East opens at Dubai World Trade Centre

Beautyworld Middle East, the region’s largest beauty and wellness exhibition, opened today at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The exhibition was opened by Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Chairman and Managing Director of Dubai Women Establishment.

Her Excellency said: “The 26th edition of Beautyworld Middle East perfectly reflects Dubai’s status as a leading international destination for trade fairs and business events. Dubai continues to be at the centre of global discussions on shaping the future of various industries, providing platforms to showcase innovation, accelerate value creation and stimulate growth and collaboration. The increase in international participation at Beautyworld Middle East this year demonstrates Dubai’s growing role in bringing together global industry stakeholders to share knowledge and seek partnerships.”

Following the inauguration, Al Marri visited a number of countries’ pavilions at the show, including Turkey, Germany, France and Brazil, as well as various stands, including those of Dubai Municipality, Swiss Arabian and Cosmed.

Running until 2 November, Beautyworld Middle East offers visitors unrivalled access to seven of the industry’s fastest-growing product segments: Cosmetics and skin care; hair, nails and salon supplies; equipment, packaging and raw materials; fragrance compounds and finished fragrances; personal care and hygiene; natural and organic; and beauty technology.

This year’s show, which will be held in 14 pavilions, will once again feature the Next in Beauty conference, which showcases fresh thinking, new ideas and cutting-edge business strategies. The programme runs throughout the days of the show and provides a platform for industry professionals to engage with the public on topics such as the future of skincare, the global reach of Middle Eastern perfumery, slow beauty, global trends in hair care, and using artificial intelligence to improve the industry and increase profitability and business flexibility.

British celebrity perfumer Jo Malone will be the keynote interviewer today, telling her inspiring story of the beginning of the craft and global success. She will also lead a session on ‘Fragrant Tapas’, which will offer a unique perfumery experience.

“Leading up to the 26th edition of Beautyworld Middle East, the event is running at full throttle, with an increased number of international pavilion exhibitors and visitors expecting an inspiring range of products and novelties,” explains Flynn Roberts, Beautyworld Middle East show director. “We’re also focusing on eco-friendly and organic products, which have become vital in the beauty industry, and it’s just incredible to see some of the brands on site and how quickly they’ve adapted to the growing demand.”
