ENOC Group holds Marine Conference at Grand Hyatt

ENOC Group, a leading integrated global energy player, held the ENOC Marine Conference 2022 at the Grand Hyatt, Al Ameera Ballroom on Wednesday 10 November 2022 with the theme ‘SIRE 2.0’. The conference provided a platform for industry stakeholders to better understand the changes associated with SIRE 2.0 and share their views on their potential impact.

The conference brought together around 250 industry professionals from around the world to share knowledge and best practices. It also highlighted the need for change and what change will look like with the launch of SIRE 2.0.

The Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) SIRE 2.0 project team also attended the event and answered questions about the new ship inspection regime, which is expected to go live in the near future.

His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, ENOC Group CEO, said: “In anticipation of the launch of SIRE 2.0, it is important for industry stakeholders to better understand and prepare for the changes that will be coming soon. Through the ENOC Marine Conference, we are well placed to bring the industry together and openly discuss the new ship inspection regime that will impact the maritime industry in the future.”

Currently, SIRE 2.0 is still under development and will more accurately report vessel and crew quality (on an ongoing basis) and indicate future likely performance, using improved tools, strengthened management processes and deeper reporting results, following a risk-based approach.

The ENOC Marine Conference began in 2007 as the SIRE Marine Stakeholder Workshop. Over the years it has become a prominent event in the maritime industry calendar, attracting stakeholders from around the world.
