Fintech & Payments Business Group established in Dubai
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has announced the formation of a new Fintech & Payments Business Group, which aims to bring together companies of all sizes in the fintech and payments sector to encourage peer-to-peer dialogue, support policy change and promote the emirate as a highly competitive global commercial hub.
The new Fintech & Payments Business Group will play an important role in supporting Dubai-based companies and providing group members with key insights and trend analysis on the fintech ecosystem to leverage recommendations for policy and regulatory change and benefit from new developments in financial technology.
Commenting on the launch of the business group, Maha AlGargawi, executive director of business advocacy at Dubai Chambers, said: “Business groups are an important component in creating a supportive, stimulating world-class business environment in Dubai. Through ongoing transparent discussions, the business group will be able to support important policy changes that will make it easier and simpler to do business in Dubai and strengthen the emirate’s position as a vibrant and global business hub.”

The Fintech & Payments Business Group will focus on ways to implement the highest standards in delivering financial services and payment solutions to businesses.
Business groups are trusted advocates for their sectors and play a crucial role in recommending policy changes to make the sector more competitive and attractive, promote international best practices and support economic growth. The Dubai Chamber of Commerce plans to increase the number of economic sectors and activities represented by business groups to 100 by March 2023.
