Museum of the Future gets Johnson Controls Blueprint of the Future award
The Museum of the Future, a community initiative created by the Dubai Future Foundation, has been named the winner of the Johnson Controls Blueprint of the Future award as part of the OpenBlue Pioneer Awards, presented by Johnson Controls, the world leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings.
The award was presented by George Oliver, Chairman and CEO of Johnson Controls, to Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation.
With this recognition, Museum of the Future joins an elite group of global innovators who have taken a big leap in their efforts for intelligent transformation by introducing Johnson Controls’ OpenBlue digital technology.
“The Museum of the Future is an exemplary expression of the UAE’s ability to imagine, inspire and shape futuristic life. Its structure has been designed and developed to showcase not only the initiatives of the future, but also a commitment to sustainability and the knowledge we have today. Harnessing the power of digital technology to deliver results for customers is something we are proud of at Johnson Controls, and I applaud the Museum of the Future for embracing digital technology,” said Oliver.
Located in Dubai, the Museum of the Future has been called one of the most iconic buildings in the world. It is an exhibition space for innovative and futuristic attractions, services and products. The avant-garde 77-metre-high facade is made of stainless steel and glass and consists of 1,024 unique panels. Working closely with the interior architects, Johnson Controls provided cutting-edge security that matched the innovative design. The building uses advanced technology, including virtual and augmented reality and artificial intelligence, to create a truly immersive experience for visitors from around the world.
