Global Village reopens after rains

Global Village, Dubai’s multicultural park, a popular family attraction, has reopened after a break due to worsening weather conditions and heavy downpours. Park authorities have asked visitors to bring warm clothes with them as temperatures plunge to 15°C and below in the evening.

Earlier, Global Village Park announced the launch of new tour packages for schoolchildren and teachers. The tour includes visits to the mirror maze, as well as the immersive 4D Ripley Theatre, which will introduce children to the latest multi-sensory technology.

In addition, students will have the opportunity to relax on the Snowfest Ice Rink. The school tour also includes breakfast, educational kits for teachers and a dance class in the children’s theatre. Reservations for any of the school tours can be made in the GV Schools Hub section of the Global Village website.

Global Village opened its 27th season on 25 October 2022. More than 3,500 vendor booths in 27 national pavilions and 200 colourful performances daily await guests. These include world-class performers, street entertainment and the region’s only water-based stunt show.

One of the new additions to the popular tourist and family destination Global Village is the Asia Road section, a pedestrian street with 43 stalls. 13 Asian countries including Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Brunei, Laos, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and the Philippines display arts and crafts.

Two countries have added to the list of pavilions, with Qatar and Oman presenting their products. The pavilions of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Africa, America, China, Egypt, Europe, India, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Thailand, Turkey, Yemen and Russia have been updated.

There are two types of tickets available for the 27th season in Global Village: the “Advantage Ticket”, which allows visitors to visit the park on weekdays (Sunday to Thursday), and the “Any Day Ticket”, which allows visitors to visit the park on weekends and public holidays. The first ticket costs AED 20 per person, while the second costs AED 25. When booking through the mobile app or website, visitors get a 10% discount: so tickets can be purchased for AED 18 and AED 22.5 respectively.
