UAE to increase happiness level of pensioners
The United Arab Emirates General Directorate of Pensions and Social Security will make early payment of pensions in the second quarter of 2023 to increase the happiness level of recipients.
It is worth noting that the second quarter of this year will include two major religious holidays, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Pensions for April will be paid on April 18, even before the end of the holy month of Ramadan, for May on May 26, and for June on June 23.
Taking care of pensioners, the UAE authorities have increased the amount of pension payments by AED 46 million (compared to March 2022), in March 2023 it was AED 690 million.
The yellow and blue ‘happiness cars’ were earlier launched on the streets of Dubai – conceived by the local municipality to provide services for the elderly and people with special needs to increase their happiness level.
They can book services from the municipality and call for a mobile service to help them obtain the necessary documents, which are handled by the authority, as well as to order bulky waste removal or disinfestation.
To book a visit, call 800900. A member of staff from the municipality will arrive at the agreed place and time. This is how the Authority is fulfilling its social responsibility towards the elderly (60+) and people with special needs.
