Atlantis, The Palm launches Dubai Balloon

Dubai’s famous five-star resort Atlantis, The Palm has launched the Dubai Balloon programme. Visitors have yet another opportunity to experience the world at its finest: the flight takes place about 300 metres above sea level and The Palm Jumeirah.

To capture the unforgettable experience, guests can take advantage of professional photographers and videographers. The service is available to hotel guests and everyone from early morning until late at night.

The Dubai Balloon is launched into the sky for 10 minutes – everyone in the basket can see Dubai and its surroundings from a bird’s eye view. The cost of the flight is AED 175 for an adult and AED 75 for a child.

The new attraction will be used for celebrations, including corporate parties and marriage proposals. It can be found at Aquaventure water park at Atlantis Resort, The Palm.

In May 2022, the northern emirate of Ras Al Khaimah also launched hot air balloon rides – priced at AED 75. The balloon, with two passengers on board, rises to a height of 60 metres with panoramic views of beaches, deserts and mangroves.

RAK Airventure is a 10-minute attraction which can be found at Manar Mall. The mode of operation is daily, from 5pm to 7pm. Earlier, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority announced plans to launch a new air adventure tourism segment.

Sky Adventures, the first licensed paragliding centre in the desert emirate of Sharjah, began hosting air sports enthusiasts in January 2023. The sports centre is open to both amateurs and professionals. Paragliders take off from Al Faya Mountain over the Mleiha Desert.

Sky Adventures offers three activity options: a pairs flight with a professional instructor, a basic paragliding training course with an international licence and a flight programme for licensed athletes to improve their skills.
