Global Village wraps up another season
Global Village Multicultural Park, Dubai’s popular family attraction, is wrapping up its 27th season of operation. Residents and visitors to Dubai have one last chance to visit the park, which will close its doors for the summer on 30 April 2023.
More than 3,500 vendor booths in 27 national pavilions and 200 colourful performances await guests. These include world-class performers, street entertainment and the region’s only stunt show on the water. Colourful fireworks light up the sky over the park over the weekend, including the last Saturday in April.
One of the acquisitions of the popular tourist and family destination is the Asia Road section, a pedestrianised street with 43 stalls. 13 Asian countries including Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Brunei, Laos, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and the Philippines display arts and crafts.
This year, the pavilions of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Africa, America, China, Egypt, Europe, India, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Thailand, Turkey, Yemen and Russia have also been updated.
The Global Village park is home to Ripley’s unique Believe It or Not museum, including the 14ft long Nile crocodile, which allegedly killed 17 people in 2004. The Hero Gallery showcases Spider-Man, Captain America, the Hulk and Doctor Strange as well as unique memorabilia from some of the iconic Star Wars and Back to the Future films.
Guests ща Global Village can visit Tribal Jungle, Human Strange, The Warehouse, Art Gallery, Horror Room and Space Gallery sections and explore historical artefacts from around the world. Entry fee to the museum is AED 40.
