Audi RS e-tron joins Dubai Police Force fleet

Dubai Police has added an Audi RS e-tron to its fleet of luxury electric vehicles. It is worth recalling that the emirate’s tourist police service already includes supercars of such brands as Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bugatti, Ferrari, Bentley, Porsche, McLaren and others.

Major General Jamal Salem Al Jallaf stressed that Dubai Police is committed to showcasing luxury car brands to tourists to continue surprising visitors from all over the world, and electric cars to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability.

The Audi RS e-tron GT electric car features an 800V lithium-ion battery pack that delivers exceptional performance while charging and driving. It offers a range of up to 472 km, with a 5% to 80% battery charge in 22.5 minutes.

Dubai Police added the first Hongqi E-HS9 electric vehicle, manufactured by Oneroad, to its fleet of supercars in autumn 2022. The SUV will accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in five seconds and has a range of 440 km. It takes six to eight hours to fully charge the vehicle.

Dubai Police added two German-made Audi R8 Coupe supercars to its luxury car fleet in December 2021. The stylish and powerful coupes with a 5.2-litre V10 engine producing 540 horsepower can reach speeds of up to 320km/h.

The Dubai Police’s luxury patrol cars can be found around the world’s largest shopping mall, The Dubai Mall, on the emirate’s main streets. They also accompany celebratory and sporting events such as the Dubai Marathon or the UAE Cycling Tour.

The vehicles help boost the confidence of the emirate’s residents and tourists in the local police and are one of the popular attractions. “We want to show tourists and locals how friendly the Dubai Police are,” said the law enforcement agency.
