Nakheel launches new superyacht marina

Dubai-based developer Nakheel has announced the opening of a new marina that can accommodate 13 superyachts and 248 boats and launches up to 47m in length. Nakheel Marinas is located in the Dubai Islands and has all the necessary facilities for captains and crews.

It is expected to become a new popular destination for boating enthusiasts. The 40 ‘dry’ berths can accommodate trailers up to 20m in length. The marina offers easy access to the sea as well as beach access.

A new public beach was previously launched on the Dubai Islands reclamation site in Dubai. Free to the public, Dubai Islands Beach is part of the Deira waterfront development project and is located close to the Centara Mirage Beach Resort and Riu hotels.

The beach is expected to be very popular, as several restaurants and bars will open on the islands by the end of the year. The beach can be reached by car and can also be reached by sea.

Last summer, Nakheel published a master plan for the Dubai Islands archipelago off the coast of the emirate. Five islands with a total area of 17km2 are planned to be developed with residential areas and commercial spaces.

Cultural and sports centres, beach clubs, as well as innovative transport links with easy access to the city and the airport are planned for each island, which will make the project more attractive to investors.

The new project will also strengthen Dubai’s position as a global tourism destination, as more than 80 resorts and hotels will open on the islands, including luxury and wellness resorts, boutique hotels, family and eco-hotels. The total length of the beach line will be more than 20 km.

It is worth noting that the residential areas will also have parks, sports and playgrounds, as well as premium golf courses overlooking the Persian Gulf. Each island will have its own unique benefits.
