Cinema Akil to open in DIFC

Dubai has announced the opening of its second independent cinema, Cinema Akil, which introduces audiences to global cinema. A relevant billboard has appeared in the 25Hours Dubai One Central hotel, located next to the Dubai International Financial Centre, opposite the Museum of the Future.

The art house cinema, now operating in the AlSerkal Avenue neighbourhood, showcases films from various directors and cinematic eras. The cinema is equipped with high-quality sound systems, padded sofas instead of conventional armchairs and vintage posters on the walls.

In the cinema’s lobby, the popular Project Chaiwala Café offers a wide selection of traditional oriental dishes and drinks, including saffron tea, turmeric lattes, spicy roasted yams and many other exciting items.

The second Cinema Akil is expected to open before the end of 2023. The five-star 25Hours Dubai One Central hotel started welcoming guests on December 15, 2021. It offers 434 rooms and suites, as well as co-working and multifunctional spaces for business meetings and conferences.

Five concept restaurants and bars invite guests on a gastronomic tour of Indian and Bavarian cuisine, burgers and signature cocktails. The rooftop spa and sauna provide the perfect place to unwind after a busy day. 25Hours Dubai also offers bicycle rental and Mini Cooper car rental.
