Tourists in Dubai are reminded about golden treats

The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism has compiled a list of restaurants where travellers can try unusual, but very typical for Dubai treats made of edible gold.

For example, Turkish restaurant Bosporus has created a six-course menu served in 24-carat gold: a burger, baklava cheesecake, kebabs, and the most impressive item is a golden Tomahawk steak for AED 950.

The black ice cream with edible gold from Scoopi Cafe tastes delicious and looks spectacular. You can also grab a cup of golden coffee here at Time Out Market.

In the lobby of the famous Armani Hotel Dubai, Emirati connoisseurs come for a cup of cappuccino with gold leaf. The cost of the exquisite drink, served in the Armani/Lounge along with dark chocolate, is 75 dirhams.

Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism previously shared the secrets of how travellers can visit Dubai’s top-notch and trendiest hotel restaurants without breaking the budget.

For example, Poseidon Cafe overlooking the famous The Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis Palace Resort, The Palm offers snacks and sandwiches for AED 50, smoothies for AED 40 or speciality coffees. For early birds, there is a unique opportunity to sample fresh morning pastries priced from AED 11.

Meanwhile at Atlantis The Royal resort, where Beyoncé, Kendall Jenner and other celebrities have stayed, The Royal Tearoom is worth checking out for breakfast and tea for AED 72. The best way to get inside the famous sail-shaped Burj Al Arab Hotel is to visit Sahn Eddar Restaurant, where you can have a sophisticated coffee and dessert break for AED 75.
