My Second Home luxury resort for dogs to open in Dubai
Dubai-based dog care centre My Second Home will open a new luxury branch for small breed dogs. The branch, which is scheduled to launch in December 2023, will be located at Dubai Investments Park 2 (DIP 2).
The site will feature indoor water features, recreational areas and large dog play areas. The increase in the number of centres is aimed at meeting increased demand from loyal customers. As with the existing branches, the new centre will offer temporary holding and comprehensive animal care services.
The new 14,000 sqm facility will be My Second Home’s third resort-type facility and will specialise in small breed dogs. The planned construction cost is US$ 10 million.
According to My Second Home CEO Sean Parker, the steady increase in pet owners, especially small dogs and cats, has led to a huge demand for quality temporary boarding areas, which My Second Home is trying to meet by building additional boarding facilities and resorts.
My Second Home co-founder Paul Sowerby added that with incredible customer trust and positive feedback, the company is expanding its capacity in Dubai, with plans to expand globally outside the UAE.
Currently, the boarding capacity at DIP and Al Quoz has reached 250 dogs and 40 cats. Around 300 dogs become daily clients of the company, which provides comprehensive boarding, day care, grooming and training services.
