Ryan Reynolds becomes Yas Island’s CIO

Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, the region’s leading leisure and entertainment destination, has welcomed Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). The actor succeeds Jason Momoa, who took over as CIO last year, in turn succeeding stand-up comic Kevin Hart.

The announcement ended a week-long pause caused by a mysterious video trailer on Yas Island’s Instagram page featuring a mystery man.

In the new video, released today, the famous actor takes to the stage, parachuting into the thick of rushing cars at the Yas Marina Circuit before speaking about his new position.

“I’ve been an actor, a producer, the owner of a Welsh football club and I could go on… and now I’m the new CIO of Yas Island in Abu Dhabi,” Ryan Reynolds said in the video.

The Canadian actor, who has starred in films such as Deadpool, Red Notice, Teacher of the Year, The Proposal and many more, will be responsible for promoting Yas Island to an international audience.

In the trailer video, Ryan Reynolds enjoys the sights and attractions of Yas Island. The Hollywood star can be seen rushing down a waterslide at Yas Waterworld, exploring Gotham City, honing his shot on a golf course and going down a rollercoaster at Warner Bros. World.
