Hatta Resorts resumes welcoming tourists
Hatta Resorts and the Hatta Wadi Hub tourism centre opened its seventh season on 1 October 2024. The town surrounded by the Hajar Mountains has new accommodation options this season.
While last season guests mostly stayed at the popular glamping sites Damani Lodges and Caravan Park, this winter they will be welcomed by the revamped Hatta Dome Park tents, each with its own private pool.
Entertainment in Hatta Resorts too promises to go to a new level. Among the various types of recreation available to tourists are bicycle paths, kayaks, trekking routes. The new season has added javelin throwing areas, a shooting range and a children’s playground.
With the onset of the autumn season, excursion programmes to Hatta will resume. In ancient times, this small town was known for its military fortress and small farms, but today it has become a place of attraction for lovers of outdoor activities and beautiful nature.
Tourists are particularly popular for cycling on trails of varying difficulty levels, kayaking on the Hatta Dam lake and horse riding in the mesmerising mountain scenery.
The Hatta mountain region will develop into a major tourist centre in the coming years with a new market, cycling trails and an artificial beach. Such projects are contained in the Hatta Masterplan for the next 20 years.
The plan contains recommendations for designing buildings in the mountainous area, optimising the road network, renovating the Heritage Village and creating opportunities for local businesses and farmers.
