Sphere screen building to be constructed in UAE capital

The famous spherical screen building from Las Vegas will find a second home in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The grandiose project Sphere Abu Dhabi will include an arena with 20,000 seats and will be built by Sphere Entertainment.

The company will work on the iconic entertainment venue together with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism. The new generation attraction will bring the sphere of live entertainment of the UAE capital to a new level.

Advanced technologies will be used during construction, which will make visiting the arena an unforgettable experience for all spectators, and Abu Dhabi will strengthen its position as a centre of culture and innovation.

The first Sphere opened in Las Vegas in September 2023, and now its creators are planning an international expansion. The building is more than 106 metres tall and has around 1.2 million LED lights installed outside. In the UAE capital, the venue will be open all year round and will host events, concerts and shows.
