Dubai Safari Park invites to exciting night journey
Dubai Safari Park invites residents and visitors to the emirate for a unique new attraction – a night safari. The tours will be available from 13 December 2024 to 12 January 2025. The Night Safari will offer visitors the opportunity to plunge into the mysteries of the animal world under the cover of darkness.
Guests will travel in sightseeing vehicles and will be able to see exotic park inhabitants such as the Arabian sand gazelle and southern white rhinos. Visitors will also encounter mountain gazelles, crocodiles and elusive pygmy hippos, playing tigers and walking lions. These animals are usually less active during the day, but a nighttime encounter with them is an unforgettable experience.
The programme includes two night tours led by expert guides who will explain the animals’ habits, keen night vision and echolocation. Visitors will also be able to take part in interactive activities, making the safari both educational and fun.
Cool evening temperatures will allow guests to enjoy observing the behaviour of animals rarely seen during daylight hours. The park guide added that visitors will be amazed to see animals that are usually at rest during the day. The night safari offers guests a completely different perspective on the world of wildlife.
Dubai Safari Park prides itself on prioritising animal welfare, ensuring that only nocturnal species take part in the safari. This approach allows guests to observe the natural behaviour of the animals without disturbing them.
Ahmad Al Zarooni, Director of Public Parks and Recreation, Dubai Municipality, emphasised the park’s mission, ‘We aim to instil a greater appreciation of wildlife and advocate for animal welfare. With the introduction of the unique night safari, we are excited to open up a new perspective on the world after dark.’
