Burj Khalifa celebrates 15th anniversary

Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building and Dubai’s main symbol, is celebrating its 15th anniversary. The 828-metre tall structure opened on 4 January 2010 after six years of construction and has since attracted millions of tourists from around the world every year.

The skyscraper has two observation decks: the two-level At the Top on the 124th and 125th floors and one of the highest observation decks in the world on the 148th floor of the building at a height of 555 metres. Also on the 152, 153 and 154 floors is The Lounge, Burj Khalifa, which is considered the highest lounge in the world.

Towering above the Dubai skyline, Burj Khalifa is a symbol of ambition and innovation. Ahead of its 15th anniversary, the skyscraper has received a new light show.

The completion of the revolutionary upgrade of the building’s façade lighting system was announced earlier by Emaar Properties. The new RGBW lighting system is an adaptation of advanced technology to the architectural features of the building.

The iconic façade offers a stunning visual spectacle with a wide range of vibrant colours and complex lighting effects. Without changing the design of the building, the system can create dynamic light scenes for all occasions and for any celebration, turning into a giant media screen and preserving the evening illumination.
