One Million Prompters project launched in Dubai
The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) has opened registration for the One Million Prompters project, a ground-breaking initiative aimed at training one million people in the emerging field of developing AI prompts.
It is the first and largest initiative of its kind, designed to equip participants with the skills needed to master AI technology and unlock its transformative potential.
According to Saeed Al Falasi, Director of DCAI, the initiative will provide new opportunities for people from a wide range of professions, and will encourage the adoption of artificial intelligence in technical, creative and scientific industries. Mastering AI query engineering will enable participants to develop innovative applications and expand the horizons of creative solutions, starting in Dubai and expanding to the international arena.
According to Mr Al Falasi, the project plays a key role in realising the vision of Dubai’s Universal AI Plan, initiated by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE. One Million Prompters emphasises Dubai’s commitment to becoming ready for future challenges by training the next generation of AI professionals.
The programme comprises a training course of four modules. The first module, Unleashing the Power of AI, provides basic knowledge about artificial intelligence and its generative capabilities, preparing participants for an AI-enabled future. The second module, ‘Commanding Conversations with AI Chatbots delves into advanced query engineering techniques to improve human-AI interaction.
The third module AI-Powered Productivity Revolution offers tools and strategies to optimise workflows. The fourth module Creative Frontiers with Generative AI explores the application of AI technologies in creative fields such as art, music and video creation. Successful completion of all modules will earn participants accredited certificates recognising their professional skills in AI query engineering.
The initiative is a logical extension of the first ‘Global Query Engineering Championship’, which took place in Dubai in May 2024 and attracted thousands of entries from nearly 100 countries. In that tournament, 30 finalists from 13 countries competed in categories such as programming, art and literature. The second championship will be held as part of ‘Dubai AI Week’ in April 2025.
Registration for One Million Prompters is open to participants from around the world. For more information on registration, please visit the official website.
