Abu Dhabi retains title of the safest city in the world

Abu Dhabi has again been recognised as the safest city in the world – the capital of the United Arab Emirates for the 9th time in a row took the first line of the Numbeo ranking, retaining its title for 2025.

Since 2017, none of the megacities have managed to take away the palm from Abu Dhabi, although Dubai and Sharjah shared the podium with it this year, and Ras Al Khaimah took the fourth line of the standings out of 382.

Abu Dhabi has become the safest city for residents and tourists, as well as anyone who values a stress-free life. The crown has been retained through the implementation of advanced safety strategies, innovative initiatives and programmes to maintain a positive atmosphere.

The UAE capital is widely recognised as the most attractive place to study, work and live. At the same time, Ras Al Khaimah is known for its stunning scenery and serene atmosphere. The sixth place of the ranking went to the capital of Qatar, while Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, came in eighth.
