
Abu Dhabi to host International Show Jumping Competition
The Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club (ADEC) has announced that residents and visitors to the Emirate are in for a busy 2025 season with a prize fund of AED five million for participants. The event will be a milestone in the history of equestrian sport in the UAE and will confirm Abu Dhabi’s status as a world centre of equestrian excellence.
One of the main events will be the International Show Jumping Competition, which will take place from 24-26 January. The programme includes the CSI4*-W competition and the prestigious World Cup qualifying round, where competitors will compete for a prize fund of AED 1.2 million over obstacles up to 1.55 metres high.
The Abu Dhabi International Show Jumping Competition offers not only world-class competition, but also a unique blend of elite sport, culture and luxury, harmoniously blending tradition and modernity. The announcement of the calendar coincides with the opening of the new state-of-the-art ADEC Equestrian and Cultural Centre, which is located on a 54-acre site. The complex offers first-class facilities for riders, horses and guests, including indoor and outdoor arenas, green pastures and comfortable spectator seating.
Future plans for ADEC include integrating luxury elements into the sports centre, including exclusive boutiques, spa services and haute cuisine restaurants. ADEC Director General Ali Al Shaiba expressed pride in the opening of this new centre, which reinforces the UAE’s advanced position in preserving and promoting equestrian heritage on the international stage.
