Opportunities Platform: new job search portal in Dubai
A new portal for healthcare professionals has been unveiled at Arab Health 2025 in Dubai, making the job search process much easier. The platform, called Opportunities Platform, has been developed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
Medical professionals, including doctors, nurses and pharmacists, will now be able to easily find job openings in hospitals and healthcare facilities in the city without wasting time searching through multiple websites or recruitment agencies.
Dr Hisham Al Hammadi, Director of Health Licensing at DHA, noted that the portal is integrated with the Sheryan system, allowing for efficient job posting and processing of applications. He emphasised that the platform showcases available vacancies in Dubai’s healthcare sector, which will help qualified professionals find suitable opportunities.
The platform will significantly reduce the time and effort required to find a job. It will provide information on the healthcare labour market, including employment trends, enabling healthcare providers and policy makers to make informed decisions. For job seekers, the job search process will become simpler: they will be able to browse job vacancies, apply online and filter offers based on their qualifications and experience.
Employers, in turn, will be able to manage job postings electronically, use automatic candidate filtering and generate detailed reports to address labour needs.
A key objective of the platform is to support the UAE’s Emiratisation strategy, which aims to attract more Emirati professionals to the private healthcare sector, as well as to attract international doctors.
In addition, the portal will help healthcare investors by providing access to a vast pool of skilled professionals and identifying gaps in the workforce, enabling authorities to develop strategic plans to meet future needs driven by Dubai’s rapidly growing population.
The launch of the Opportunities Platform will be an important step in ensuring that Dubai remains at the forefront of global healthcare innovation and provides a seamless job search for aspiring professionals.
