Gulfood 2025 in Dubai: A Showcase of Unique and Innovative Foods
The Gulfood 2025 exhibition, now underway at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), is offering residents and visitors of the UAE a chance to explore and taste a variety of unique and innovative food products. This year’s event features an array of exciting new offerings, from coffee-flavored cheese to beetroot ice pops, showcasing the latest trends in the global food industry.
One of the standout products at the exhibition is coffee-flavored cheese by Dutch company Daily Dairy Holland. Already popular in the Arab region, the cheese has been given a revamped recipe that delivers a deeper, caramelized flavor. The product has gained particular traction in Saudi Arabia during Ramadan, when hosting guests is a common tradition. This year, the company aims to find suitable partners to introduce its products to the UAE market.
Another highlight is date mustard by Hungarian brand Zamat. This innovative fermented sauce combines the natural sweetness of dates with a tangy kick, making it a versatile accompaniment to a wide range of dishes. Its unique flavor profile has already garnered attention from food enthusiasts at the exhibition.
For those with a sweet tooth, local brand House of Pops is making waves with its fruit ice pops made from unconventional ingredients like beetroot, spinach, and cabbage. Founder Mazen Kanaan revealed that another of their creations—ice cream with edible flowers—has already become a hit. This product was even nominated for an award in the “Best Health and Wellness Product” category. Remarkably, the ice cream was brought to market just 17 days after its recipe was developed in collaboration with Bustanica.
Peruvian brand Kiria is also turning heads with its quinoa jam, a product free from preservatives and sugar, and made with 95% natural ingredients. Founder Karem Matos Pereira shared that developing this product took nearly three years, and it is particularly suitable for individuals with allergies to preservatives.
Finally, Super Garden has introduced frozen beetroot cubes, which pack all the nutrients of a whole beetroot into a compact form. These innovative cubes have even caught the attention of the European Space Agency as a potential food source for astronauts. The company is also working to make its products available in the UAE market.
Gulfood 2025 is not just a celebration of culinary creativity but also a platform for brands to connect with new markets and consumers. From sustainable snacks to health-conscious treats, the exhibition highlights the future of food, blending tradition with innovation. Whether you’re a foodie or a industry professional, Gulfood 2025 is a must-visit event for anyone passionate about the evolving world of food.
