Dubai Brands Its Sports Facilities with Art and Sustainability
Dubai Municipality has partnered with leading international companies, including PepsiCo, Red Bull, Deliveroo, Puma, and Intercontinental Tyres, to create branded sports facilities across the city. These innovative spaces will be located in popular areas such as Mankhool Park, Uptown Mirdif Park, Hor Al Anz, Al Satwa, Al Barsha Lake, Al Jafilia Square, and Al Warqa Park. The project aims to combine sports infrastructure with artistic installations, transforming these areas into vibrant, multi-purpose public spaces.
The initiative to create branded sports facilities is designed to encourage residents to engage more in sports and physical activities while fostering an appreciation for modern art. Each facility will feature unique designs and hand-painted illustrations by local and international artists, incorporating the logos of the partner companies. For example, basketball courts will showcase dynamic graphics that emphasize athleticism and movement, while a volleyball court in Mankhool Park, constructed from recycled tires, highlights environmental sustainability.
This collaboration between the government and private sector reflects Dubai’s ongoing efforts to position itself as a global leader in sports, art, and sustainable development. By merging recreational infrastructure with street art, the city is creating spaces that appeal to citizens, residents, and tourists alike, further enhancing Dubai’s reputation as one of the best places in the world to live and visit.
The project not only promotes physical well-being but also raises awareness about environmental issues and supports local artists. It underscores Dubai’s commitment to innovation and its vision of becoming a hub for creativity, sustainability, and community engagement. Through initiatives like this, the city continues to set new standards for urban development and quality of life.
