Global Village Adjusts Operating Hours for Ramadan and Unveils Special Celebrations
Dubai’s beloved multicultural destination, Global Village, has announced changes to its operating hours in observance of the holy month of Ramadan, which is expected to begin on March 1. During this period, the park will be open from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM from Sunday to Wednesday and from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM from Thursday to Saturday.
To celebrate Ramadan, Global Village will be adorned with stunning decorations inspired by the spirit of the holy month, creating an atmosphere of wonder and goodwill. A special cannon will be placed near the main stage, firing daily at sunset to mark the end of the fasting period.
This season, which marks the park’s 29th edition, will introduce a new area called Multaqa Global Village. Designed to bring families and friends together during the sacred month, this cozy space is located in the heart of the park between the main stage and Dragon Lake. It features festive lighting, low tables, and soft cushions, offering a warm and inviting ambiance for visitors.
In addition to the festive decor, Global Village will host a special concert by the Arabesque Orchestra, presented by Ornina Arts Events. The performance will feature 35 musicians playing a variety of instruments, promising a memorable cultural experience for guests.
For younger visitors, the Children’s Theatre will present a puppet show titled The Secret of the Lantern. Running throughout Ramadan, the show will teach children about kindness and generosity through an engaging story. Performances will take place on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Global Village is also launching the Ramadan Step Challenge, encouraging guests to explore the park’s unique attractions while staying active. Participants can activate the challenge through the Global Village mobile app upon entry. Those who complete 10,000 steps during a single visit will be rewarded with special prizes.
With its festive atmosphere, cultural performances, and family-friendly activities, Global Village continues to be a must-visit destination during Ramadan, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
