Dubai Illuminates with Stunning Light Installations
In celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, the streets and public spaces of Dubai have been transformed into a dazzling display of light installations and vibrant decorative elements. The city is now adorned with sparkling lanterns, intricate patterns, and unique light projections, creating an atmosphere of unity, generosity, and cultural richness.
These installations, which have appeared in various neighborhoods across the emirate—including residential areas—are part of the #RamadanInDubai campaign. The initiative was launched under the directives and patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. The project was brought to life through a collaboration between Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Government, and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority.
The creative displays not only highlight the charm of Dubai but also foster a warm and welcoming ambiance for both residents and visitors. In addition to the city’s streets, Dubai’s iconic mosques have also been illuminated with festive lights. Colorful projections enhance the celebratory spirit for Muslims observing Ramadan, offering a mesmerizing visual experience for all.
This initiative is part of the broader Anwaar Dubai project, which blends art, culture, and modern technology during the holy month. Among the mosques participating in the project are the Jumeirah Grand Mosque, Al Hawanij Mosque (Al Habba’i), Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Mosque in Al Hudaiba, and the Grand Mosque in Al Za’abil.
The light installations feature intricate artistic designs that reflect the region’s cultural heritage. Through these displays, the facades, minarets, and domes of the mosques have been transformed into radiant works of art, captivating both locals and tourists alike.
