Dubai Implements Dynamic Parking Fees Starting April 4
Dubai is introducing a revamped parking fee system beginning April 4, adopting variable pricing based on time of day and location to optimize traffic flow and parking availability. The new structure divides zones into “Premium” and “Standard” categories, with peak-hour rates nearly doubling in high-demand areas.
Key Changes:
- Peak Hours (4 PM-8 PM & 7 AM-10 AM):
Premium zones: AED 6/hour (up from AED 4)
Standard zones: AED 4/hour (up from AED 3) - Off-Peak Discounts (10 AM-4 PM & 8 PM-10 PM):
Rates revert to previous amounts (AED 3/AED 2) - Event Surcharges:
Areas near Dubai World Trade Centre (including during GITEX) will charge AED 25/hour
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is updating all parking signage with clearer zone labeling – now marked with “P” suffixes (e.g., AP, BP) – and real-time rate displays. Sundays and public holidays remain free.
