Golden Visa for Influencers: UAE’s New Plan to Attract Global Talent
The United Arab Emirates has clarified the process for issuing 10-year “golden visas” to influencers and other creative professionals as part of a new initiative aimed at attracting top content creators from around the world. The visas are being issued by the Creators HQ, a dedicated hub capable of processing applications for up to 10,000 candidates seeking residency in the UAE.
According to Creators HQ, eligibility for the golden visa extends to bloggers, photographers, writers, and other digital content creators who meet specific criteria. Applicants must have a proven track record of producing significant content, professional awards in their field, or demonstrate consistent audience growth and engagement. Additionally, candidates should be willing to contribute to the development of the UAE’s creative sector.
The application process is conducted online through the Creators HQ website under the “Content Creators and Creative Talents” category. The review period typically takes between four to ten weeks. If nominated, applicants must undergo a medical examination at the Smart Salem Index Towers in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Required documents for the medical check include a valid passport, an Emirates ID (if already held), and a passport-sized photo with a white background.
Once the visa is approved, applicants must cancel any existing UAE visa before the new one is issued. The updated Emirates ID is usually processed within two days. For further inquiries, individuals can contact Creators HQ via email at goldenvisa@creatorshq.com.
This initiative reflects the UAE’s broader strategy to position itself as a global hub for digital innovation and creative industries. By offering long-term residency to influencers and content creators, the country aims to foster a dynamic environment for talent and entrepreneurship. The golden visa program has already attracted professionals from various fields, including technology, arts, and business, reinforcing the UAE’s reputation as a destination for skilled individuals seeking stability and growth opportunities.
The move also aligns with the UAE’s vision of diversifying its economy beyond oil, emphasizing knowledge-based and creative sectors. As digital content creation continues to shape global culture, the country’s efforts to welcome influencers and creative professionals signal a forward-thinking approach to economic and cultural development. With streamlined processes and clear eligibility criteria, the golden visa for content creators presents an appealing opportunity for those looking to establish long-term roots in a thriving and innovative market.
